Aerie had the chance to sit down with one of our favorite Aerie models, Martha Hunt. This down-to-earth, American beauty talks life as a model, her inspirations and what she is carrying in her purse! When did you first start modeling? How did you get into it? I entered a model search at a mall in Charlotte, North Carolina and won! What is your favorite Aerie clothing piece? I love all the pieces in the new swim line for Spring. Everything about them is perfect from the shapes to the colors to the prints and the fit. Not to mention these pieces are super affordable. How do you like to spend your free time? With my job I do not have a lot of free time, but when I get a moment I love being active. I enjoy doing yoga, dancing, reading, and cooking at home. I recently learned to surf and went white water rafting in Jackson Hole. If you weren’t modeling, what would you be doing? I would love to be a film director. I love how film combines image, music and dialogue. Film is definitely something that inspires me. How would you describe your style? My style changes day-to-day, but I always add a hint of rocker. I love vintage clothing and mixing high-end designers with low-end pieces. My style could be anywhere from rocker chick to school girl chic. What is the best thing about modeling for Aerie? I love several things about Aerie. Working with the crew is always great and I especially love wearing the intimate’s collection. I love that Aerie is an American brand and is something that I can relate to. Not to mention, the quality of the bras is really great – you can put them through the wash time after time and they won’t fall apart. Where is the coolest location modeling has taken you? My job takes me to the most inspiring places. I was particularly inspired by India and Morocco. The culture was so interesting and the food was delicious. What is your favorite pig out item? My favorite thing to pig out on is French fries with a thick milkshake! What do you like to carry around in your purse? A good book, contact solution, iphone, keys, $, subway cards and lip balm. What is the last song you listened to on your iPod? Ritual Union by Little Dragon Which Aerie bra is your favorite? Maddie and Hannah Cotton are always great and comfortable choices. Which season is your favorite for style? I love Fall because it is so fun to put together outfits and obviously because you can finally wear all of your favorite BOOTS, but I also love wearing sun dresses in the Spring. read more..
